How can one get a flat stomach with walking? How is walking and getting a flat stomach related? Is it really possible to get a flat stomach simply by walking? Can daily walking make oneself get a flat stomach? - These are the questions that must be arising in your mind, isn't it? The simple answer is -Yes, you can get a flat stomach with walking.

Let me explain - We all know that the bulge we have in our stomach region is due to the accumulation of fat in that region. In fact a new born baby does not have a bulging stomach. But it is with time when that baby is fed more than he needs that his stomach slowly starts to bulge out. On the other hand a normally fed baby who is not fed in excess does not grow a bulging stomach - same is the case with adults. Thus extra Fat is a result of imbalance between the calories we take and the calories we need or spend in our daily activities - that is when we take more calories than is required by our body for doing the regular activities, the body stores the extra calories in our body in the form of fat which first starts accumulating first from around the stomach (which gives the bulge) and then is distributed in the whole body. Now if we can get rid of that extra fat accumulated or accumulating due to taking extra calories we can get a flat stomach. Thus to get a flat stomach one needs to cut down the calorie intake and do activities so that he or she can spend more calories than he or she takes in, in order to burn up the already accumulated fat. This is where Walking comes in to the scene - walking is a very good calorie burner.

How does walking help in burning extra calories and getting a flat stomach ? - Walking is a very efficient form of cardio exercise where you can breathe easily and thus your body gets a rich and sufficient supply of oxygen to burn the calories to get energy for walking. Therefore the more you walk the more energy will be spent, so more calories will be burnt resulting in gradual removal of the accumulated fat.

How much calorie does walking burn ? - Now this is a very complicated question to answer? Because the amount of calorie burnt depends both on the distance you walk and the speed with which you walk. More the distance you walk more the calories you will burn and more speedily or briskly you walk more the calories you will expend. But for the beginners it is advisable to go for covering more distance first and then increase the speed gradually. Remember you must increase both distance and speed gradually because you must give time to your body to adjust - never attempt to push too hard as you may cause more harm than good. Now let me give you a simple estimate that will tell you how much calorie walking burns - for an average person walking with normal speed walking burns approximately 100 calories per mile. Also you must know that a heavy person burns more calories in compared to a person with an average weight if both walks the same distance. Thus you can simply walk to burn the extra calories and get a flat stomach.

How much should you walk to burn the extra fat and get a good flat stomach? - There is no fixed scale for this as metabolism and also type of daily activities differs from person to person. So the best process is to fix the amount of walking you need by hit-and-trial method. Maintain a chart and slowly increase the distance to find out what suits you best and also remember to maintain a healthy food habit. Strike a balance between the physical activities that you do whole through the day (including walking) and your food or calorie intake, to burn the extra fat and attain a flat stomach ultimately.

Which time is best to go walking for getting a flat stomach? - Early in the morning (before the sun rises) and in the early evening (after the sun has set) are the two most ideal and preferred time to go out for a walk. Put on your sports shoes, wear some comfortable and light clothes and start walking. If possible carry a small bottle of drinking water. One more thing you must remember that is your stomach must not be full while you go out for a walk. You can have a light snacks at least an hour before going out for a walk.

How much time do I need to get a flat stomach? - This varies from person to person. A person who has just started getting a bulge will achieve a flat stomach faster compared to a person who already has a large bulge. This also depends on how much effort you put into walking that is what distance you walk and how fast you walk (remember to walk and not to run). It also depends on your food habits that is what level of check you apply on your intake of food rich in carbs and fat. Warning - Never push anything too hard or never rush, whatever changes you bring about, do them gradually and naturally, give your body time to adjust to the changes.

To round of - walk regularly; take a healthy diet low in fat and cards but high in proteins, vitamins, minerals and water; do a few ab crunches to tone and strengthen your stomach muscles and get a flat stomach.
